BMJ Best Practice Updates

You are here

Content update notifications

BMJ Best Practice content is updated daily. To know which updates are the most relevant for your work, BMJ’s new Behavioural Driven Interactions notification will notify you when an Important Update has been made to a topic you have looked at in the last 6 months. This will give you the opportunity to quickly update your knowledge on important changes to a topic of interest to you.

How it works:

  • CKN users will need to register for a separate BMJ Best Practice personal account, with links from its home page
  • Users will receive a notification to flag Important Updates for topics that they you viewed in the last six months
  • Notifications will appear in the form of a red notification badge at the top of the logged-in screen
  • When clicked, a box will appear showing the name of the topic with an Important Update with the date it was published
  • The topic name is a link and will take the user to view the Important Update
  • The red notification badge will disappear once clicked on by the user
  • Notifications that have not been clicked appear bold with pink highlighting. Notifications that have been clicked appear grey
  • A maximum of 5 notifications will be shown at one time
